The following tools might be necessary:
Step 1: Remove rubber covers of screws
Most of laptops have plastic or rubber screw covers. Remove the screw covers with the tweezers.
Step 2: Remove screws (outside)
Remove the screws beneath the rubber screw covers.
Step 3: Disassemble plastic bezel
Either using sharp plastic object or fingers get between the bezel and the display and start from the bottom and gently work around the display.
Note: the bezel is plastic and will be broken easily.
Step 4: Remove screws (inside)
The next step is to remove the screws from the brackets that secured the panel in place. It should be at least two on each side of the panel.
Note: Some laptops have screws on the hinge that you must remove accordingly.
Step 5: Remove video cable
Remove the video cable from the back of the display. Remove any tape that may be secured on the connector.
Step 6: Remove inverter board
Remove the inverter plug from the inverter board. Gently pull out inverter plug out by fingers or small screw driver from the inverter board. Some panels may require you use pliers to remove the inverter plug.
Your panel now is removed successfully. The label on the back of the panel might help you to determine which replacement you need.
To install the new panel, follow these instructions in reversed order.
